Be As You Wish To Seem

On the blaring televisions that play the same news over and over, you might have come across people sitting in small boxes and fighting each other over how their own political opinions are better, how they can improve the world with them. At the same time, we all know that politicians have a tainted image due to their continuous abuse of power, false claims and corruption. Yet, we believe in their ideas. We believe that they can indeed make the world a better place to live in. However, the question arises, why are they the ones who can, and why not us?

Humanity is not fair, it never was and it probably never will be. Every day innocent people lose, and guilty people are let go scott free. This doesn't mean that all crimes go unpunished but it does mean that injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere.

With the same view in mind, many youngsters believe in bringing about changes, making the world better, just like the politicians claim. The only difference that can be created is whether these youngsters have the guts to do as Socrates says. To be as they wish to seem.

Many want that discrimination should end, crime should be reduced, everybody should get equal opportunities, but the one who is willing to work for it is the only one who needs it. We are all affected, it is about who is ready to do something about it. Get mad. Get even.

The world won't evolve just because you want to, you have to start making progress. Take a step, whichever cause you wish to. Not only because you are affected, but because people are. Your people or not, they deserve better. The world becomes a better place when you become a better version of yourself. The only way to do so is to make a conscious effort towards it and keep doing it.
